What can Vedic chanting do for you?

  • Used as a tool for meditation, the practice of Vedic chanting can help focus and still the mind.
  • Using the voice uplifts your mood, especially in a group.
  • Soothes the body’s systems, assisting in lowering heart rate and blood pressure.
  • The pathway for dhyana (concentration), helping the mind come to a place of quietude & tranquillity.

This course will explore:

  • Pitch (svara) & notation marks.
  • The meaning of the chants
  • Pronunciation of Sanskrit.
  • Voice exercises.

Chanting handouts will be provided.

Open to all levels, including beginners, this is a perfect way to begin your chanting journey.

Nadine has been chanting for many years with her teacher Dave Charlton. Over the last year she has been studying with Sheela Shankar who Is a direct student of TKV Desikachar. At the heart of Nadine’s work, she strives to make this beautiful practice accessible to all. Nadine is also an experienced Yoga teacher of 22 years, practitioner of 25 years and a Yoga teacher trainer.
