Philosophy discussions for children aged 8 – 11 years in the Salisbury Centre garden.
Philosophy discussions are based on games, stimuli, questions, discussion and reflection, animating children to grapple with big question on their own terms and direct their own learning. They encourage curiosity and openness towards self, other people and the world. Discussions also support participants’ wellbeing through providing time to be together, have fun, and talk and listen to others.
Our stimuli will encourage children to engage mindfully with the world, and will include stories, poems, mindfulness activities, and interacting with the natural world. Facilitators ensure a philosophical thread runs through the discussion, but takes the lead from the children about what ideas to focus on.
You can pay through eventbrite or by cash on the day.
