Join me, Cori, for this 4 part in person series where the power of surrender is explored. Many of us experience stress and pressure as a result of busy lives, social expectations, living in an unsettled world or being faced with unexpected challenges. Our body reacts and we can physically feel anxious, feel overwhelmed, even become unwell; our body keeps the score. In these moments our nervous system reacts, we can feel unbalanced and dysregulated.
When we surrender and accept, we regain control, we feel more settled, we are more able to self soothe, self regulate. In this 4 part series we will explore practices that encourage us to embody surrender and let go of what does not serve us. Participants will receive an introduction to how our nervous system reacts and copes with challenges. We also explore the role trauma plays in our ability to regulate . Jointly we will explore different embodiment/somatic practices and share our experiences.
I, Cori am a systemic coach, sound therapist, reiki master, mindfulness teacher and have over 350 hours of training in yoga, including yin, vinyasa, restorative and trauma informed yoga. I work in a trauma informed way and not only have lived experience of trauma but have a variety of training in this field. I recently qualified as a trauma informed yoga and embodied resilience teacher and am a great believer that the body keeps the score. I aim to empower my clients to recognise that when we connect mind, body and heart, that is when the magic happens.
