Seedlibrary Storytelling Evening – Crack a Story: Plant a Seed

Join us for a cozy autumn afternoon exploring stories of human-nature relationships and seedsaving!

The Salisbury Centre Seed Library is excited to welcome back the wonderful herbal storyteller Amanda Edmiston (Botanica Fabula) for an evening of ‘seedy’ storytelling. Her stories will be followed by a “crack” – the Scottish word for conversation – exploring the story, its deeper meanings and how it speaks to us and our world today. We will also spend time thinking about our own stories and seeds and how to pass them on and share them with others.

With COP26 ending and autumn now in full swing, this is an opportunity to come together for inspiration, reflection and discussion on our place in nature and our relationships with seeds in particular. You are invited to take seeds from our library and do bring any seeds you would like to swap or share with the community!

Come prepared for any weather! We will spend some time connecting with the plants and seeds around us, wandering in the garden, sharing around a fire and in our lovely library inside.
Accompanied children are welcome, although the stories are more tailored to adults and those over 12 years old.
Arrive from 2:45pm to settle in for a prompt start at 3pm.
These events are funded by the Edinburgh Council Community Fund and free to participants. As spaces are limited please sign up via Eventbrite and let us know if you need to cancel so someone else can take your place.
Feel free to email our Seed Library Coordinator Hannah with any questions regarding the event at hannah@salisburycentre.org
