Community Soup Supper

“One soup a day keeps the doctor away.”

We’re delighted that our Community Soup Suppers are starting again as Summer turns into Autumn!

Every Monday, you’re very much invited for a steaming bowl of tasty, home-made soup, bread, and good company – to start off your week well.

The soup is vegan, and we provide gluten-free options too. We take care that most of the ingredients are organic, with the veggies being delivered to us in our weekly veg box from East Coast Organics farm, 15 miles east of Edinburgh.

You’re very much invited for any part of the evening:
4pm to help make soup
5:30pm for the daily Drop In Meditation
6pm for the start of the meal

All welcome -whether you’ve never been to the Salisbury Centre before or have been coming or volunteering for years!

Exchange
This is a Salisbury Centre community event and is offered on a donation basis to be as inclusive as possible. We don’t want costs to be a barrier to anyone coming along. Suggested donation is £2 and you’re invited to pay what you can afford. Any donation above this amount is very welcome as it allows us to keep running community events like this one.

Volunteering
The Soup Suppers are community-run and we’re looking for some more volunteers to make them happen. Please e-mail Olga (current resident at the Salisbury Centre) at olga.bloemen@gmail.com if you’d be up for helping occasionally to cook some soup, set up, host and/or do dishes – or just drop in on a Monday evening to find out more. Helping with the cooking is a lovely way to share your skills and learn from others.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on Mondays!
