“it takes a village to bring up a child” expresses

an idea central to our work as a way of

welcoming our children and young people into this world

A discussion/ talk with Kim Ward and Pauline Colles. Kim is a process work therapist and Pauline an art therapist at Wellspring psychotherapy and counselling centre. For over 5 years we have been part of a small team of therapists at Wellspring. It is funded by the Children in Need charity offering free therapy to children, young people and their families.

We shall share our experiences and reflections of how we help children explore their inner worlds, find expression for their experiences and gain understanding and support in articulating their needs and aspirations. Play therapy is playful in nature and yet provides a forum for children to explore big questions and serious dilemmas to equip them with tools and resources for what life brings them.

This discussion will interest parents, therapists, carers, teachers and more, so please feel free to share this poster with friends, family and colleagues.
