Join the Salisbury Centre Seed Library and Edinburgh Seed Network for a creative Imbolc celebration of learning and gathering with seeds!
The time of the celtic festival Imbolc marks the beginning of spring, the time when seeds lying dormant in the soil slowly begin to awaken and stir. This time also marks the beginning of the growing season and is an important point for gardeners, food growers and seed savers.
We will spend the afternoon creatively exploring our relationship with seeds and the stories and lessons they share about cycles of rest and re-emergence, resilience, the need for the cold and darkness of winter and the return of the sun. This is also an opportunity to discuss winter seed storage, care and first sowings and to bring any related questions you may have at this time of year.
We will spend time both indoors and in the food growing garden, so come prepared for the weather. No experience necessary and all curiosity welcome.
