Chanting & Harmonic Songs by the Fireside!

—————-

These singing and prayer session around the fire are a chance to connect with nature and community, sing from the heart in harmony with others, share intentions for the month ahead as well as learn beautiful songs and chants from around the world. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with an established love of singing and chanting.

These session are a slight alteration of the regular fireside prayer circles which have been held throughout lockdown in the Salisbury Centre garden.
As Covid regulation ease and singing together becomes once again allowed, the fireside prayer circles will now change their focus and structure slightly by  bringing in more chanting and singing, to tap into the celebratory and sunny vibe of the arriving summer, welcoming Joy, harmony and music in the heart  (There will still be place for sharing prayers into the fire!)

Bring your instruments if you can jam along!

The sessions welcome all new and old community members, friends, elders and young people, to gather around the Sacred Fire to explore and reclaim the role of Ritual, Ceremony, Singing & Prayer in our life to:

– Nurture our Soul, Mind & Body through sitting in a circle around a central Fire
– Build & strengthen community in a safe space to simply BE and pray together
– Share meaningful and inspiring music, songs, poems, quotes, sacred texts, writing, life-stories, dances… Anything can be your prayer!
– Witness and be witnessed in our sharing, to build solidarity and heart-connection (and enjoy! )
– Reignite the ancient ways of sharing a ritual space, as well as share cross-cultural indigenous wisdom
– Connect to and acknowledge the mystical side of life, THAT which is ungraspable to the mind and which can enable us to re-connect to the flow and Magic of life.

It is an honour to be offering these prayers circles on a recurrent base, in the beautiful sanctuary of the Salisbury Centre garden (a community centre for spirituality, creativity and peace)
