Dropping into Winter – Authentic Connection Retreat

This Retreat is made more available by offering a sliding scale model. Click here to see ticket options

Winter is a time for slowing down, resting, and connecting to self and others. These don’t just help us to “get through” the Winter. They also allow us to find growth and meaning in this cold and dark time of the year.

The busy rhythm of life in a city doesn’t acknowledge Winter. Everything keeps going, as if nobody’s noticing the change of energy. That’s why it’s essential to intentionally create time and space to acknowledge the shift. This is what “Dropping into Winter” Authentic Connection Retreat is about.

You will be held in a cosy group space that will support you to welcome Winter in your body, mind, and heart. You’ll be guided through practices to connect: first to yourself, and then to others. In the end, we’ll all participate in a ritual around the fire which will help us to start letting let go of the things we don’t want to carry with us into the new year. Then, we’ll invite space from which new things will be able to emerge

This retreat is for you if you:

  • Could use a full day of rest and self-care
  • Want to acknowledge transitioning into Winter energy
  • Would like to strengthen the connection with yourself
  • Are interested in mindful, intentional connection with others
  • Value spaces where you can show up as your full self in a group.

About the Facilitator

My name is Marta Brzosko and I will be your guide and facilitator during this retreat. I run a regular Authentic Connection Group at the Salisbury Centre, as well as facilitate community trainings and group meetings. Mindfulness and Authentic Relating are two practices that guide me in my life.

I hold a post-grad diploma in Mindfulness and Compassion and have completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme. I trained with Authentic Revolution in Authentic Relating and Leadership skills, and right now I’m in the process of getting trained as an Authentic Relating Facilitator.

Here’s what people say about my events

“I came across Marta’s Authentic Relating events in Edinburgh and have been hooked ever since. When I arrived I was helped to feel very at ease, I had little idea what the evening would be about! Exercises were well explained and a lot of fun. It is incredible to come away from a gathering with such a feeling of deep connection and wellbeing.” – Kas Berys

“I really really love Marta’s facilitation style. She speaks from the heart with feet on the ground and eyes and arms wide and welcoming. She is playful and joyful and unjudgemental, and this helps to create a space that feels safe to experiment in new ways.” – Beth Thomas

“These interactions gave me an important feedback to re-examine and re-evaluate mental and emotional processes, like tendencies to leave behind, attributes to develop, etc. I strongly believe that lots of people will deeply benefit from these meetings, realizing the fact (sooner or later ) that every interaction works as a mirror, reflecting back what we are giving/sending out.” – Kostas Makrys
