About Dominika Czerniga (she/her)
Hello there! I am an Edinburgh based musician and creative workshops facilitator, with background in Sculpture (ECA graduate) and community work. Over the last 10 years I have been involved not only with Edinburgh’s music scene but also in its varied community programs. I have been an active member of Tinderbox, volunteering and working with kids trough music and also facilitator and project worker for UPMO. Through this I gained experience in working with adults who have additional support needs and disabilities. I am history and anthropology enthusiast with strong preference of spending my free time exploring different genres of traditional music from all over the world, drinking chai tea and crafting. I believe in power of art and music and its transformational value for all humans.

Did you know…?

The Salisbury Centre, since 1973, has always been a hub for wellbeing activities, workshop and exploration of creativity through numerous arts disciplines.

Before officially being purchased and inaugurated as the Salisbury Centre, the original building had already been used by Winifred’s Davidson Clinic for several years to provide art studio space hosting a variety of art-therapy classes (in what today is the “Studio” upstairs). The Wellspring room also originally housed a weaving workshop with two looms while in the Art room two pottery wheels made the Centre one of the most renowned pottery workshops in Edinburgh.  Several people who learned, practiced, and taught pottery at the Centre are still potters today, some of which are well renowned for their art! One of them, Paul Pebble who was started frequenting the pottery at the age of 14, today runs the Meadows Pottery in Edinburgh.
