Community 8-weeks Mindfulness Course
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
With your one wild and precious life?”
Mary Oliver, The Summer Day
You are welcome to an 8-weeks mindfulness course – Living Mindfulness. This course combines the main components of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) approaches with content that emphasises awareness of needs and values, development of embodied gratitude and the nourishment of mindful movement. Sessions will be run in a manner that offers participants choices in how they engage with the practices.
This course is secular in nature and is open to anyone, regardless of belief. It is suitable for anyone seeking an introduction to mindfulness and for more experienced people interested in an expanded approach.
When: 8 weekly session on Tuesdays at 7 – 9 pm (first class on 15 March)
This course is run on a voluntary donation basis as we want it to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. Donations allow us to run affordable and free events and to support both, the facilitator and the Salisbury Centre.

About Anna:
Anna hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and works in community mental health, running wellbeing workshops and courses. She is also a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher. Through yoga, Anna discovered the concept of having personal practice as a form of showing up for herself and attending to her needs. Somatic practices and meditation have been a doorway to deep healing for Anna and her decision to get qualified in teaching yoga and mindfulness came from a place of wanting to share what she has found transformational with others.
Anna trusts that deep within us we already are the way we strive for but we might not always see this. Practices that invite us to look inward and expand our awareness can be a way of peeling off the layers of our conditioning to re-connect with our true nature. Anna believes being present is a radical act. It involves courage to hold whatever comes up in a curious, accepting and kind awareness. This can emanate way beyond a yoga mat or a meditation cushion and it allows a way of living that is intentional, authentic and compassionate.
Anna can be found on social media under ‘Rooted Ventures’.
