Community Draft Excluder Sewing Workshop
Tuesday 17th and 31st of January

We would like to invite you to join us in making draught excluders. These are simple sausages made of fabric, stuffed with rags to put at the bottom of doors to lessen the heat loss from ill fitting doors. We will make them from scratch with sewing machines and decorating them so they become a cheerful feature in their own right!
Materials
We request is you have any old tights and fabric (for example old sheets) to please bring this with you.
Materials will be provided by the centre however, this is a good opportunity to upcycle your old materials.
Biscuits, tea, coffee and warm room will be provided by the centre.

This is a free event however donation are most welcome.
Nobody will be turned away for lack of funding, donations allow us to ran affordable events for everyone.
There is limited spaces and booking is recommended. We do recommend booking on both events to make sure you are able to complete your draft excluders.
Accessibility
The workshop is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. The ground floor is level however not all door are wide enough for powered wheelchair users. We have 4 all gender toilets including one all gender accessible toilet. The Salisbury Centre is sober space. We do not have a hearing loop.
