This is an ONLINE Group
The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient scripture that describes the journey of consciousness that we are all travelling, whether we know it or not. It is not a religion or a system of beliefs. Study of the Gita enhances one’s existing religious or spiritual practice; it is not a substitute for these. Rather, it is something one can experience directly through one’s own life.
The study group helps us to understand how the Gita applies in our lives. The initial offering is 7 sessions with the focus on the first part of the Gita.
Starting : Wednesday 27th October (19:30 – 21:00)
Then weekly for following 6 weeks
- Introduction
- Chapter 1 – The Yoga of Arjuna’s Dejection
- Chapter 2 – The Yoga of Discrimination
- Chapter 3 – The Yoga of Action
- Chapter 4 – The Yoga of Knowledge
- Chapter 5 – The Yoga of Renunciation of Action
- Chapter 6 – The Yoga of Meditation
We will start with a short meditation and create a safe and sacred vessel for the group. Brian will then read some verses from the Gita and share his own experience. Each person will then have the opportunity to share how the verses resonate for them in their own lives. At the end we will close with a short meditation.
