Bhagavad Gita Online Study Group

This is an Online Group

Do you have a deep longing to know the Truth of what you are? The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient scripture that describes the journey of consciousness that we are all travelling, whether we know it or not. It is not a religion or a system of beliefs. Study of the Gita enhances one’s existing religious or spiritual practice, it is not a substitute for these. Rather, it is something one can experience directly through one’s own life.

This is an existing study group and new joiners are very welcome to join. The group helps us understand how the Gita applies in our lives through our own direct experience. This is not an intellectual/philosophical study group but one that connects us to the heart of our Being. The study group will focus on the first part of the Gita and there will be an introductory session for those who are not familiar with the Gita but feel a pull to know more.

• Introduction

• Chapter 1 – The Yoga of Arjuna’s Dejection

• Chapter 2 – The Yoga of Discrimination

• Chapter 3 – The Yoga of Action

• Chapter 4 – The Yoga of Knowledge

• Chapter 5 – The Yoga of Renunciation of Action

• Chapter 6 – The Yoga of Meditation

Each group will start with a short meditation and together we will create a safe and sacred vessel for the group. Brian will then read verses from the relevant chapter in the Gita and share his own experience.  Each person will then have the opportunity to share how the verses resonate for them in their own lives. At the end we will close with a short meditation.

Brian Robinson will be facilitating the online Gita Study Group. He is based in Edinburgh and has connected to the Bhagavad Gita through the guidance of his teacher Sat Shree (www.satshree.org). For more information please contact Brian via email: Brian.hector.robinson@gmail.com.
