Beltane Garden Gathering –with Ceremonial Tree planting (with Edinburgh TreeSisters Grove) – Sun 30th April 13:00 – 17:00

Come celebrate Beltane and the arrival of spring in community at the Salisbury Centre. Beltane is a joyful time to celebrate the fertility inherent in all life.

This year, in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Centre we will share a tree planting ceremony (with Edinburgh TreeSisters Grove) and some time around the fire place, an open space for song, poems and creativity sharing (Bring your fav. Beltane songs to share !)

Drop-in welcome!

Approximate timing for the afternoon

13:00 – 14:00 Arrival & Teas & Chats
14:00 – 15:30 Beltane nature connection in garden & tree planting ceremony (with Tree Sister Grove)
15:30-16:15 – Opportunity to share prayers, reflections, songs, poem around the fire (bring your songs, offerings, poems, creative pieces) (At the end of the day some ashes/coals from the fire, symbolically containing the blessings & creativity shared by the community as part of the day around the fire, will be sprinkled around the newly planted tree)
16:15-16:45 – Closing & People mingling around fire
16:30 – 17:00 Tidy up (People to leave by 17:00)
