50th Anniversary Community Film Making Workshop

Friday 17th June
No experience necessary (and all experience welcome!)
For the Salisbury Centre’s 50th Anniversary (coming up in 2023) we would like to make a short film telling the story of the Salisbury Centre: Its fascinating past, thriving present, and imagining into its future.
We have been kindly offered support from teachers and students at Edinburgh College of Art to empower us with basic film making skills, so that we can gather our own footage at the Centre and tell our own story. Whether you are new to the Centre, or have been involved for years, we would love to have you involved.
If you are interested in learning some basic skills so that you can be part of bringing this exciting dream to life, come along to this workshop where you will learn everything you need to know.
Following this workshop there will be equipment accessible to you in the Centre to use whenever you come, to capture footage of what this special place means to you. It could be a butterfly in the garden, an interview with a community member, or a beautiful moment around the fire. We hope to then have regular opportunities to meet up, view footage and learn more. So come along, join in, and let’s tell our story together!
Please email susannah@salisburycentre.org if you would like to attend this workshop. If you cannot attend but would like to be involved, please still get in touch so that attendees can skill-share with you at another date!
