COVID Safe Access

16 Aug 21

The Salisbury Centre is a community space and we ask for your help in keeping it safe for everybody and minimising potential harm by taking responsibility for minimising risk of transmission of Covid-19.

Please remember that others using the centre may have vulnerabilities to infection that you might not be aware of.

We have taken care to implement Covid safety measures including:

  • A full risk assessment
  • Additional cleaning thanks to Foundation Scotland’s Covid Recovery Fund
  • Check-in QR code at the door

We offer a number of separate spaces and rooms of various sizes that allow comfortable and quiet safe distancing possibilites, including two outdoor spaces. See Our Rooms for more information.

We ask you to follow these guidelines when attending the centre:

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms which might indicate Covid-19, if you have been in contact with somebody with actual or suspected Covid-19, or if you are in a period of quarantine following arrival from oversees, please do NOT attend the centre.
  • Please respect other users by wearing a face covering when indoors. This is to protect others including those who may enter the space after you have left.
  • If you become ill whilst at the centre please inform the session leader, go home immediately, and self-isolate while you seek medical support.
  • If you test positive for Covid-19 in the two weeks after you attend the centre, please inform your session leader (who will have a list of attendee contact details) and the centre office who will know who else attended the building that day.
  • Think about the safest way for you to travel to and from the centre.
  • Please ‘check in’ using the NHS QR code as you enter and leave the building; instructions and signage are up on the doors.
  • Please follow government guidelines for physical distancing (as of 9 August, the legal requirement for physical distancing and limits on gatherings has been removed).

For room bookers (community groups, facilitators, private hires), it is your responsibility to ensure that your activity is risk assessed and complies with the latest government Covid safety guidelines and any specific guidance for your sector/type of activity. We also ask that you ensure attendees follow the safe access guidelines.

See the full SAFE ACCESS – Guidelines for attendees and SAFE ACCESS – Guidelines for bookers.
