TAROT WORKSHOP

Tarot, tea and cakes. Tarot workshops at the Salisbury Centre are fun and enlightening. No previous knowledge of Tarot is required. You will learn how to divine and look deeper into yourself. Please bring a deck of Rider Waite cards if possible. Booking required as these popular workshops fill up quickly. Carol trains people to professional standard and offers membership of Tarot Professionals, or learn just for your own pleasure.

Carol is the Founder of Tarot House, Edinburgh. Our aim is to restore the spiritual integrity to the cards. With over 20 years experience as a reader and teacher, Carol also offers one to one consultations. Carol`s main influences are Jung, Byron Katie and Rachel Pollack.



 

THE DANCES OF EGYPT - The Golden age of Egyptian Cinema

Dance like the Stars of Egypt’s Golden Age in a workshop inspired by the stars of the 1940s and 1950s era Egyptian cinema.

This workshop draws on the imagery and music of the Ottoman courts, the storytelling of Egypt’s Golden Age of cinema, and the music of the classical Egyptian orchestras and famous singers.

This is a General level workshop and is suitable for those who are already familiar with the posture and basic moves of Egyptian dance. Bring a full skirt if you have one and a silent hip belt.

Susanna has trained extensively in Raqs Sharqi style Egyptian Dance for over 10 years in the UK, Belgium and Egypt.

EGYPTIAN BELLY DANCING FOR BEGINNERS

Egyptian dance is a beautiful ancient dance form that has been evolving for thousands of years. Hilary is also a Teacher of the Alexander Technique and is interested in the therapeutic side of this dance. Open to complete beginners and those who want to improve their technique. Please bring two scarves – one to tie round your hips and one about 2 yards long to use as a veil.
Hilary as well as being a renowned Egyptian style dancer, also plays Middle Eastern percussion and teaches it in the UK as well as on desert dance and music camps
